About Us

Joseph Triano is a results-oriented professional in risk assessment, information security, physical security, criminal investigations, and crime prevention.  He has more than three decades of progressive experience within Law Enforcement, and Corporations.  His Law Enforcement experience was obtained in New Jersey where he conducted numerous criminal investigations. 

His corporate experience included several positions of responsibility: Director of Corporate Security - Bell Communications Research, Director of Corporate Security - NetDox, Senior Network Security Manager - Iridium,LLC, Global Director of eCrime and Fraud Management - Citigroup, and Vice President and Chief Security Officer - E*TRADE.

Joseph completed his Criminal Justice B.S. degree at Trenton State College (College of New Jersey), and completed his basic police training at the NJ State Police training center. He completed other training courses provided by the NJ State Police, FBI, and other police agencies.  He completed graduate courses at John Jay University (Criminal Law, and Theories of Criminal Behavior).  His Law Enforcement experience included the investigation of numerous heinous crimes such as homicide, rape, robbery, and burglary.These experiences lend themselves to a broader understanding of security threats at multiple levels and supports his approach to developing risk assessments. 

Additionally, he presented at, the eCrime Congress in London on several occasions, as well as presenting security topics at many other forums.  He represented Citigroup at the BITS organization and led their workgroup on the creation of the financial industry’s first White Paper on ID Theft.  His experience with Citigroup included the design and implementation of strategies in response to Phishing and Malware attacks pointed at Citigroup and it’s customers.
