Was Obama the first president to face a "birther" movement?

Or even the first black president for that matter?

Think Bush vs. Gore was the worst election debacle ever?

Get the answers and much more about the presidents -- things you know that just aren't so!

"Thank You America" is an easy-to-read, but comprehensive factual narrative of American history presented in an enjoyable fictional manner as though watching a theater stage production segmented into 44 individual chapters, one for each president.

As the curtain rises, we "see" the stage setting to represent that particular era of American history in which the president serves. We then "see" the president as we "listen" to excerpts of his inaugural address, following which we are advised to peruse his biography to determine the influencing factors that molded his character. Similar routine is utilized for every president, and his legacy is considered while the succeeding president assumes the office.

• Advise a child on developing    leadership qualities.
• Evaluate a presidential candidate -- before voting.

While watching the televised funeral ceremonies of past presidents Reagan and Ford, the author, a son of immigrant parents, realized how fortunate it was for him to have been born as an American citizen. Not just for him and his wife, but for all their succeeding family members. It resulted in a 14,000 mile motor trip to visit every president's birth, burial site and over 115 associated museums. The purpose was to pay homage and say "Thanks" to each of them for their efforts.

Gleaning information by personal communication with involved personnel and review of many manuscripts, it became research for a book — and thus "Thank You America" evolved. Its chief goal was to attempt to disclose the factors which aided in the development of each president as a child. What influence did his mother, father, other relatives or friends, teachers, clergy and faith, events and locale have in this process?

The author believes that this played an important role in the decisions and judgments made by the presidents during their terms of office.
